Learn how to build a YouTube video summarizer and host it on a website. This series of hands-on sessions will touch upon Python programming, need-to-know concepts about data engineering, machine learning, serverless computing, cost estimation, and cloud deployment.
| Delivery Mode | Online & In Person |
| Duration | 3 - 4 hours |
| Prerequisites | Containerization 101, Serverless Computing |
What Will Be Covered
In this series of 3-4 sessions, you will build a web-based application in which users can indicate the URL of a YouTube video and, a few seconds later, get a summary of the key points mentioned in that video. This series of 3 - 4 hands-on project-based learning sessions aim to develop/upgrade machine learning (ML) skills and cover a mix of need-to-know minimums for cloud + data engineering, ML + model deployments.
With the end goal in mind,
- You will start with developing some of the core modules required, such as the module that summarizes a video file. You will then implement the required modules to implement a simple user interface to complete the first stage of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- During the second stage, you will implement/provision the required infrastructure to host this application on the cloud.
- During the third stage, you will put in place optimizations that will help you save costs in the long run.
Why?
๐กCompleting the 3 stages is essential, no matter your current role in your organization.
- As an aspiring Data Scientist ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ป๐จ๐พโ๐ป, you probably do not want to box yourself with just developing expertise in developing ML models. You should also learn about the model deployment aspects as well.
- As an aspiring Software/Data Engineer ๐ท๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ง๐ผโ๐ง, you probably might be curious about how some of the ML models work. Also, whilst it might not already be part of your current job scope, it always helps to learn more about deployment and the management of containerized applications.
